Tropical Weather Update

Although the threat of catastrophic weather due to Hurricane Harvey has diminished, TSC's business operations remain closed, but the main campus and ITEC Center are accessible to faculty, staff and leasing tenants.

TSC will resume regular business operations at 8 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 28. The first day of the fall semester is Aug. 28.

Registration and add/drops will continue on Monday, Aug. 28 and Tuesday, Aug. 29.

If needed, updates will be provided via the RAVE Emergency System, email, the TSC website at www.tsc.edu, and TSC social media channels.

Due to the inclement weather that is anticipated to reach the Texas coast in the upcoming hours, Texas Southmost College will be closed as of Thursday, Aug. 24 at 6 p.m. through Sunday, Aug. 27. TSC anticipates to re-open on Monday, Aug. 28 for regular business hours.

During this time, the TSC Emergency Operations Management Team (EMT), in collaboration with the Texas Division of Emergency Management, the Brownsville Office of Emergency Management, and Cameron County Emergency Management, will continue to monitor the developing storm and its aftermath.

Although we anticipate opening on Monday, no later than 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 27, the TSC EMT will provide an update to students faculty, staff, leasing tenants, and the community regarding the re-opening of the college on Monday, Aug. 28, the first day of the fall 2017 semester.

Registration and add/drops will continue through Monday, Aug. 28 and Tuesday, Aug. 29.
