Christopher Collins, AIA has taught Architectural History, Architectural Graphics, Architectural Computer Graphics, Architectural Technology, Basic CAD, and Residential Drafting. Having worked at a full service architecture firm since 2000, Christopher Collins has over twelve years of working experience with projects ranging from elementary schools to athletic facilities, and is involved with all phases of a project from programming through construction. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, and is currently the Regional Director for the Texas Society of Architects of the Lower Rio Grande Valley. Mr. Collins is dedicated to construction research and design development, applying the latest design technologies and trends, and is also in charge of the company’s in-house production operations.
Allen E. Gustavson has been teaching CAD Drafting courses in High Schools since 1993. Previous to that, he worked with full service architectural and engineering firms starting in 1984. He also taught AutoCAD classes part time at community colleges and private technical schools starting in 1988. In 1993, Allen started designing homes for local home builders and families. He is involved in all aspects of the design process, from initial client contact, design development, code review, construction documents and construction management. He is a certified user and instructor of AutoCAD and a certified instructor for Rhino 3D. Allen is currently teaching Pipe Drafting, Plane Surveying, Architectural Commercial Drafting and the Drafting Internship courses.
