Q: When do students access my course shell?
A: They have access to the courses the day before semester starts. (Example) Fall will be the Friday 21st 

4. How do students access my Pearson LearningStudio?
A: Students can login courses by visiting www.TSC.edu/MyTSC and clicking the Pearson LearningStudio icon.

Q: How long can students access my Pearson LearningStudio shell?
A: Students have access to current semester Pearson LearningStudio courses from the first day of classes until two weeks after the end of the semester.

Q: Can I access LearningStudio from my phone?

A: The following Mobile Browsers are supported:

  • Android: OS Browser 1.5 and above
  • Blackberry: OS Browser 5.0 and above
  • iPhone: iOS Safari 3.1.3 and above
  • Symbian: OS Browser 3.0 and above
  • webOS: OS Browser 1.4.1 and above
  • Windows: OS Browser 7.0 and above

Q: I am using a MAC or Apple Device (Ipod/Ipad/Iphone) and when I click on my LearningStudio course I receive an authentication error; how do I resolve the issue?
A: To resolve the authentication error with your Apple device, please follow the steps below:

  1. Exit your course.
  2. Open the Settings app.
  3. Tap Safari.
  4. Under Privacy, tap Accept Cookies.
  5. Tap Always.
  6. Close the app.
  7. Go back into your course.

Q: What timeout restrictions does LearningStudio have?
A: If a LearningStudio session is not sending or receiving data for more than 120 minutes, your session will timeout in order to maximize efficiency across the platform.

Most Internet Service Providers have a shorter timeout limit, which may lead to being disconnected from your course. Although supported, wireless and satellite connections typically have the shortest timeout limits, especially when accessed from a HotSpot, a place of business, or other public access points.

Because of these timeout behaviors, your work may be lost when entering a long response in a Threaded Discussion post or a Dropbox comment field. A useful practice is to type your response in Notepad, and then copy and paste your work into the appropriate field.
